Borough Market; London Photo Walk Series
Another photo walk led by me and we hit another of London’s fabulous photo spots; Borough Market. What a feast for the senses this place is! The sun through the glass roof bouncing off the steel structures and the festoon lights everywhere. The smells! Breathe in one direction and it’s rich fish paella and turn to the left a bit and it’s nostrils full of stilton. The noise of hollering market men over sizzling spit roasts over tourists shouting to each through the crowds. Smoke in the air. Every texture of food and drink imaginable. Layers and layers of sensory delights to shuffle between and shoot. Here’s some of what I shot…
Borough Market, London Photo Walk the verdict…
As an experience shooting here wasn’t my favourite. The crowds were tricky to move between and over I found it somewhat of a sensory overload. I was relieved we only had a small group to manoeuvre around. However! The graft did not go unrewarded because I love the photos. A lot of it was down to it being unseasonably sunny (for once… THANK YOU British weather!) What a difference good light makes to play with?! My top tip going forward for Borough Market would be to leave as early as possible as before 11am it’s really much more pleasant.
