Baby girls Ottilie & Penelope ❤️

Someone tell me how I get over this beautiful session?! I have been utterly honoured to be invited to capture these guys from engagement to wedding to the arrival of their beautiful TWIN baby girls. What a ride! Thank you again and again for being just the most delightful clients and letting me bride on the journey guys! 🥹🥹🥹

R + V ❤️ 14.09.2024

On Saturday I got to be at two of my dearest friends wedding. Big statement incoming… It was honestly one of the best days of my whole life. Seeing two of the kindest and best people I have ever had the pleasure to know get hitched was special beyond any words I could put together right now. So did I photograph it? Kinda… I had the help of the brilliant @siobhanjohns_photography and teamed up with @tonydaviesfilms on film. It meant I got to be there in the morning, see the dress first (not that I gloated @jamcel86 @bex1607 @heatherrose_84 😜) and see @rob_elliott_1991 get pushed in the pool! 🤣🤣🤣 It meant I got a front row to the ceremony (although I was a blubbering mess and a leaky photographer at the front there probably wasn’t part of the planned aesthetic). Then I got to party and HUGE thanks to Shiv and Tony for tolerating me drunk and insisting I would come for the golden hour portraits! 😂🫣 Some apologies to Tony for making his work environment somewhat unideal on the dance floor in the evening… 🤣🫠

What did it do for me professionally? Shooting such a personally special to me wedding? Right, don’t get me wrong I have NEVER for a second had the significance and beauty of a wedding lost on me. I will shed a tear at all my weddings at some stage of the day. I really do live it with my couples because that’s how I find I enjoy my work the most and can get the best from myself on the day. But! Saturday has just kicked all that up a notch. It’s totally refreshed my appreciation for it all, not just for the couple but for everyone around the couple. A marriage happening to someone you love is so special and significant and a day to mark and celebrate that is just one of those days that’s going to stay with you forever.

Long story short. OH I DO LOVE A WEDDING! Hooray wedding season isn’t over for me for a good weeks! Bring it on clients! I here for it!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
