Oh hey there! This is me Charlie, personal branding photographer from Essex, usually behind the camera but here I am in the frame! Showing my face on the blog for the first time in a while! Don’t worry this isn’t going to be one of those “I have a dog and love drinking coffee” posts! I’ve been doing some hard drive organising and realised I haven’t shared any from this headshot set. Isn’t it funny how we can go to all the trouble of getting professional personal branding pics and we love them but then when the gallery drops on to our desktop we can struggle with using these much anticipated pics?! Have you ever found that? So here’s some tips to help you really get the most out of your branding gallery…
📸 Banish that scarcity mindset and don’t hold those images back because you imagine there will be a better more valuable time to use them!
📸 You don’t have to just use your favourites from the gallery. Remember you are by faaaaar your harshest critic. So check yourself with the over thinking and perfectionism and JUST POST IT! Your people are just happy to see you!
📸 Don’t be afraid to repeatedly use the same images. No one’s keeping score or count and very few people see everything you put out. So don’t think just because you’ve used it once that you can’t again! Taylor Swift doesn’t just play her greatest hits once does she?!
📸 Invest in regular content creation! If you main marketing channels are on social media then it’ll make all your efforts so much more effective if you are continuously building that media bank. If your business is built online then this media library is a business asset and the curation of it was never going to be a one and done endeavour. Plus the more you go through the process of investing in professionally created content the easier and more enjoyable you’ll find the whole process from imagining the concept of your images to using them!
